Firstly, I want to say a big thank you to everyone who voted for me, Thank you. I also want to thank everyone who helped organize the event and my fellow scientist. The biggest thank you has to be to the students who asked the questions, the questions were sometimes funny sometimes difficult but always enjoyable to answer. You all came across as great people with some great science questions. When I first signed up for this event, I was not really sure what I was getting myself in too, but I am so glad that I took part, it has been inspirational to chat with so many enthusiastic students. I’m a Scientist – you’ve decided to let SJ go!

We’ve counted, checked and rechecked the votes since yesterday and now it’s game over for… SJ This leaves just Paige and Ash to fight it out for the £500 prize tomorrow. What would they both do with the money, you ask? Paige says “If I won the prize money, I would have the means to continue producing my new environmental film, CO2 Bayou. I hope to get young students in Louisiana involved in this project in the future, and I need new camera equipment and the means to distribute this film to Louisiana officials and science communicators!” and Ash says “I would pay for an artist to take the images we make and turn them in to art, I would then give this art away to coffee shops and museums, schools as talking points.“. It’s been a fantastic event so far and the scientists have worked hard, answering thousands of questions between them. But on Friday there can only be one winner in each zone, so some of them have to go. We are sorry to have to do this to you, but the first scientist to be evicted is… ANDREW Thanks so much for all you’ve done. We hope you’ve enjoyed taking part.
