In general I would say no. However, there are always exceptions and there are probably circumstances where most people would agree it is acceptable.

If you mean adultery in terms of somebody who is married having an affair with someone they’re not married to, then how can it ever be right when those two people originally agreed, when they were married, to NOT do exactly that?

There are many cultures where polygamy (having lots of husbands or wives) is the norm however sex outside of those marriages is still largely forbidden as far as I know.

My honest opinion is that if you’re going to spend your life with someone, married or otherwise, you should really enter into that knowing how the other person feels about situations like this, some people are down with multiple partners some people aren’t, but finding out before breaking someone’s heart is probably the wisest option.

Again, this is just my opinion. I personally wouldn’t be into committing adultery, however I’m not married so lawfully, it’s impossible for me to!

Depends if your a Bonobo or a Stork, one mates for life one plays the field. All human interactions seem to be there to support offspring. It you give your offspring the best chance of success does it matter how you do it?
