• Question: Do you have an interset in Astrophysics

      I do have an interest yes. I’m hoping at some point in the near future to try to model how molecules form in deep space by using a laser to act as star light. Since there are only a few molecules in any volume in space scientists don’t understand how they can react to form bigger molecules – especially as its so cold (only a few tenths of a degree above absolute zero (-273 °C). One theory is the reactions take place on the surface of ice and dust particles and are driven by light of nearby stars and some early experiments by colleagues of mine in the Netherlands and London, seem to support this idea.
