Question: @ gemma how many bugs have you been able to grow from urine and feces and how long does this process take?

There are so many different bugs in urine and faeces. The majority of the bacteria which are present will grow in 24 hours, but some take a little longer, or may need a little more help. As we are only looking for the ones that cause harm, we can create an ideal environment for these organisms. We do this by using special media. This contains all the nutrients the bacteria need, but also antibiotics or other substances which stop other bacteria from growing. By knocking out the competition, the bacteria we want to find will grow nicely.
