• Question: If i got lazers of each colour of the rainbow and pointed them at one spot, would that spot be white light? or would they just burn a hole in what ever you point them at?

      Yes that’s exactly what would happen – i.e. they would make white light. Have a look at Ash’s profile because he has a great picture of mixing red blue and green lasers to make white light.

      Not all lasers have enough power to burn a hole through something but even if they did the light would be white where they mixed I think.

      Yes!!! Very smart… white light! Depending on the power of your lasers, you could burn a whole in something…

      If you mixed the light with the right powers they make white, actually you only need red green and blue because those are the colours your eyes work on. You need less green than blue because your eyes are very sensitive to green.

      You can experiment with white light at home by holding a magnifying glass in front of the computer screen. What colours do you see when you hold it over a white area of the screen?
