• Question: If there was a tube that could withstand the lava and it was places all the way through the earth to the other side with a ladder do you think that some1 could go down it and turn upside down when there the other side (feet first)?? Would you have to turn around in the middle or would u get stuck in the middle because of gravitational pull??

      Wow! What a question!!

If we could get the tube to not melt under the magma and hot iron core of our planet…hmmmm

It would still be pretty hot in there, the man might just burn up!!

I think (but I’m not physicist) that at the centre of the earth, all the mass around you of the planet would cancel each other out and you would experience no gravity what so ever, so you’d fall down the tube, gradually slowing as gravity got weaker, then kind of hover in the middle, then you’d have to climb out the other side.

Canny big climb though – hope you’re feeling fit!! 🙂

LOL, I love SJ’s answer!!! Gravity free at the center… but before you got there I think that the heat would just be WAY too great!!! You’d have to have a nanomaterial suit that could withstand high heats!
