      Patience and Determination!!

An ability to read deeply and remember what you’ve read.
The ability to plan your time and fit everything in a good order.
Good optimisation skills, because there are never enough hours in the day!!
A logical mind to join together lots of little bit of information as one big story.
An illogical mind to work out how something might have gone wrong.
Good tactful communication skills – science can get personal, and people get closeto their work – you don’t want to be offending everyone you disagree with!!
The ability to laugh not cry when everything blows up in your face – and to be able to roll with the punches (probably most important).

      Got them skills?

      Get Involved

Determination is definitely the key. Organisation certainly helps too.

If you are passionate about something and you want it, you will make it work, dedication and determination will get you to where you want to be. A little hard work will go a long way.

For a physics person the only real skill is to be inquisitive. You need to ask why things happen, question everything. By that I mean in your head, if someone tells you something, think about why they maybe wrong. If you can think of a flaw in their argument ask them about it. Science is all about proving things wrong.

Definitely hard work, perseverance, and good attitude! Those are more important than any math or Biology or chemistry!
