Open day? Do you mean Like Gem mentioned she would like to put on?

I would hope if I won I would come and visit some of the schools that have been taking part to do some experiments with you and get youradvice on what kind of things I should put in the Science app!

(The app’s got a name now by the way! It’s called ‘D.I.Sci’!)

Open days at Newcastle University are good – we’re having one now – potential students get to come in and try out our labs, do some experiments and have a mooch round campus! Well Good. There are usually BBQ’s too… 😀

I love open days! My gymnastics gym open days used to let kids come in and jump on trampolines and try out the equipment to see if they wanted to join our gymnastics team. 🙂

Local schools would be invited to bring groups of students along. There would be talks and practical workshops. The students would learn about jobs within the NHS, the jobs that you don’t tend to hear about but which are vital to the service. They could find out just what goes on in the background of the NHS and how they could get into careers like these, or just play with the stuff, if they were not keen on the jobs
